Your GDPR rights
The GDPR gives you clear rights over your data. Here is what they are, and how to exercise them in minutes at Sweet Dog.
Your rights at a glance
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you rights over the data Sweet Dog holds about you. Here is what they are, and how to exercise them easily.
Right of access
You can ask us which data we hold about you and obtain a copy in a readable format.
Right of rectification
If any information about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it.
Right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten")
You can request the deletion of your data, except where a legal obligation requires us to keep it.
Right to object
You can object to a processing activity on grounds relating to your particular situation. We then stop it, unless there is a compelling legitimate reason.
Right to restriction
In certain cases (contesting accuracy, an ongoing objection, etc.), you can ask us to temporarily suspend a processing activity.
Right to data portability
You can receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and ask us to transfer it to another service.
Right to withdraw consent
Where a processing activity relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.
Delete your account yourself
The quickest way: from your account, you can delete it directly. Deletion erases your account and the associated data (conversations, dog profile). If you use Sweet Dog without an account, your anonymous data is automatically erased after 90 days of inactivity.
How to exercise your rights
Write to us through the contact form, stating your request, or at contact@sweet-dog.app. We may ask you for something to verify your identity, in order to protect your data.
Response times
We reply free of charge, within one month. This period may be extended by two months for complex requests; we will then inform you, with the reasons.
Controller and contact
The data controller is Sweet Dog (see the Legal Notice). Given its size and the nature of its processing, Sweet Dog is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer; all requests relating to your data are handled via contact@sweet-dog.app.
Complaint to the CNIL
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data-protection authority, at www.cnil.fr.
